Hi I just found this software and was wondering which program is better for developing games? Construct Classic or Game Maker 8?

What sort of games are you looking to make? And have you thought about Construct 2?
Thank you for your answer. Is construct hard to use?
Depends on what you want to do. Mario type of games is quite simple, 3D-very hard.

Hi I'm wanting to make simple games then work my way up to advanced ones.
First I'd like to start out with a simple pacman game. As far as construct 2 goes I'm looking to export my game as an exe and what I've read Construct is an HTML 5 game maker right? I will try c2 and maybe buy it to show my support but I'd like to make games with Construct Classic first.

Yes at the moment Construct 2 is HTML5 only, both Construct 2 and Construct Classic should be perfect for your needs :)

Thank you. That's what I'm hoping for.
I'll probably buy C2 around the 3rd of February.
How much is C2?

Thank you

You can find all the buying informations in the store.

Be sure to download the free version and test it to make sure you'll be comfortable with it.
