number of active objects in High Performance Engine Construct 2 without lag ?

It depends on your computer - try it and see! I can get over 10,000 on my computer and still reach 30 fps, but on mobile phones and other devices sometimes you can only get a few hundred.

I made a small game with C2 that has 22 physics objects on the screen at once. It runs great in any browser on any computer I've tried. But then I tried it in my iPod Touch, which is a couple years old, and while it ran, it ran too slow to be playable. So I'm thinking in that case it is not the number of objects so much as the use of physics? jimand2012-05-07 12:31:09

Physics is extremely CPU intensive, far more so than normal active objects. It's discussed more in the manual entry on performance tips.
