How Big Should A Game for PC and Mobile Phone

Get help using Construct 2

I would like to know the best practice for game size for PC and Mobile Phone.

Currently I'm creating my first game. The size after exporting to HTML 5 is around 12MB. This is a very small game with 100event limit, but the size is 12 MB. I can't imagine how big it would be if I create games with amazing graphic and many objects like the pro. Maybe 300, 400MB? That would take "forever" to download. Isn't it?

12mb isn't very big even for mobile, but if it bothers you, have a read of tips to reduce the download size.

Ah, that's is exactly what I want to know. I don't have the perspective about how big is too big.

I believe and someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But the limit on android used to be 50mb and is now 4gb. That is using expansion files. Something I don't think construct supports yet. So for all intents and purposes, you probably want to stay under 50mb

for desktop it's all about distribution. If you are making a stand alone game. Meant to be downloaded/installed. There isn't really a limit. But for a browser game just consider that on average 1gb takes 10-20 minutes to download. Most people won't be around that long to play a browser game.

12mb is perfectly fine.
