How do I add audio as a gameplay element (input)

I'm completely new to Construct 2 and I'm attempting to create a rhythm game on mobile devices which utilises two buttons for input (touch) and an audio input (as, say, third button). The audio I'm trying to implement is supposed to be a clap sound. The device should listen if the user claps on the mark of a pre-specified beat within the program.

However, I'm struggling to implement this "clapping" gameplay element. I'm aware that I'm supposed to use the "User Media" object, but I'm stuck on how it's supposed to listen to the user for a specific sound.
