How do I add sound from Windows XP?

Hello, i need a help here,how to add sound to game? i'm using Windows XP,and when i import the sound files,it always say error.

Have you read the manual entry for importing audio here: https://www.scirra.com/manual/52/import-audio-dialog.

Note the part referring to audio on Windows XP:

"Users on Windows XP and Vista must encode .m4a files on their own."
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.
