How do I Animate an Enemy?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Mar 20, 2015 3:49 pm

Ok I have my Enemies set up with pathfinding and line of sight behaviors as shown in this tutorial - https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/474/pa ... e-of-sight .

I would like my Enemies to be animated is there a way of doing this?

If you mean animations, then you can simply update the current sprite you have for the enemies.
Just add extra frames, and set it to loop.

If you want to add more animations, then open the sprite in the editor, and on the right should be a small window with the default animation, right click here to add a new animation and add your frames.

In the event sheets you can set the object to play a desired animation at certain conditions.

Erm I am a total beginner to this to be honest. What I need is my Enemy to use the animations Walk Left, Walk Right etc so that when they are moving they are facing the right direction with the correct animations. I hope this makes sense.

Yes, then I refer to my previous post :)

the sprite editor in construct 2 is perfectly able to set up animations.

It won't let me upload a picture to show you.

I have the animations set up in the editor, however my Enemy stays in the default position when previewing the game. I can't even upload the capx file either to show you what I mean.
