How do I Change Player Angle Based On Angle Of Solid?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Nov 13, 2015 7:42 pm

I have a bowed solid for the player to walk on (a bridge that is rounded rather than flat). The player moves along the solid, but I would like the player to also change its angle based on the current angle of the solid. It is an animal crossing a bridge. Can't quite figure out how to pull this off. Any help would be appreciated.

With bowed solid you mean 1 sprite, or is the bridge made of several sprites at angles?
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..

If it were more sprites you could get the angle of them checking overlap at offset..
I'd recommend either building the bridge out of seperate objects or use invisible objects to get the angle and just using the bridge as a picture..

Another option would just be to code the angle based on the position..

Thanks for the info. Worst case, I will make invisible sprites. The "angle based on position" thought, how would I accomplish that?
