How do I change player speed on overlap

Get help using Construct 2

Hi all,

I'm making a top down game and want the player to slow down when overlapping another sprite (grass)
I've tried various events like Player Sprite-is overlapping grass sprite-player sprite-set customMovement Overall speed to 2
But it doesn't seem to work.
Collisions are detected if Grass sprite is set to solid, can I change the solid behaviour in events?

It should work the way you are trying to set it up.

If player is overlapping grass, set overall player speed to 50
Else set overall player speed to 200
(adjust speed numbers for your needs)

And to answer your question, yes, you can change the solid behavior in events.
