How do I change the background color of a sprite

Get help using Construct 2

Ok so probably my question isn't very clear. So I have player that is actually a box with number in th emiddle. So when the increment I want to change the background color which should be inside the sprite (I have a border so it will need some margin to fit exactly in the center) and I need that to be behind the number object (text element) I've looked everywhere about colours but there is nothing that allows me to control it dynamically.

I could do it with animated sprite and just change that based on the number but was hoping there is better solution.

Can anyone help me?

What is the problem of using animation frames ?
This is the best and easy way.

You can do it by adding a Tint Effect to your box sprite then you can change the parameters to change the colour of the box.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
