How do I clone multiple objects at once?

Get help using Construct 2

I am working on a project that involves a chessboard. I have created each square as an individual sprite because I want to make different things happen depending on which square I have pressed. Now I want to create another board but add different events to that board, i.e not the same events as the other board. I don't want to create each individual square from scratch for yet another board and I know that copying the entire board won't do the trick. Is there a way to solve this?

I SOLVED IT! As I was writing this post the solution popped into my head. Copy the entire board consisting of the 64 sprites and then paste them in a new project window. Then change the names of each sprite and copy the entire board once again and paste it in your original project. This worked perfectly but I still have a question, is there an easier way of doing this?
