How do I "colorize" a sprite?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Oct 07, 2014 5:18 am

To make this quick and simple, if you open an image in GIMP, you can go to "Colors" and select "Colorize" and get the right color blend for an image. I tried using "RGB" and tried "HSL" and neither of these work. I put the parameters like they would be in GIMP (I'm guessing 0, 1, and 2 for them) but the sprite always comes out solid colors and you can't see the lines in the character. If I use "Tint" however, I get the same idea, but the effect is all worn because it's tinted and not recolored. Any help would be useful!

Kind of, but it's not the same. Is there a way to do a hue change only? Should the sprite be in black and white for such a method?
