How do I control the falling angle?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sat Jul 25, 2015 8:20 am

hey guys,

here is my event sheet to take a look on how my box move in the game:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2_3fSAI6FsANkNXTW54M0hkYXM/view?usp=docslist_api

my problem:: I added a long sprite that my box jumps on it, as you can see from event sheet the angle at which the box fall on the ground is 90 or 180 or 270, but when he falls on that sprite he keeps rotating and I want him to fall the same way that he does on the ground, so I tried to duplicate event 3 and replace ground.Y-100 with sprite.Y-100 but it doesn't work well , please help???

1. The next time, post the capx instead of a picture, it helps to understand better
2. don't bump before 24h, personally, I answer at first to topics without any answer
3. I don't understand the "box is rotate" event, maybe there is an error here.
4. It seems you have a lot of things called "rotate" : a variable, a behavior, and the action of rotating the box. A capx instead of a picture would really help understand this...

delete event 10 and 11 to see how it works without the block sprite

You can try to do it like this
You can add conditions to make the landing more realistic when your box stops its rotation

The solution of MadSpy is great.
Moun glow : thanks for the project, you can also save your project as a single file in construct (.capx) which is simpler to download.
