Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Dec 18, 2014 1:22 am

I have never created a game before and have minimal coding experience but I have to start somewhere! So my idea is to start creating the tetris game but a wider larger version - either way big or small should I get the code for tetris to use your newly downloaded software and is there somewhere In forums etc where I can find the code that I have to add and delete to make it larger? thanks to all those who reply without sarcasam for a beginner. lol ;)

I recommend first going though some beginner tutorials https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/top
and making your way though the manual https://www.scirra.com/manual/1/construct-2
they will teach you alot of the basics tetris is not a complex game you should be able to make it without much help aver going though both things i linked. I also recommend going though the templates included in Construct2 to get a better understanding of the event system

I would recommend starting with this: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/313/cl ... kout-video It's not tetris but you will learn so much and actually make a fully working game by the time you're finished. This is what I used to learn construct 2 and I can't recommend it enough.

Thank you very much Volkiller and Burvey for such a quick response! I shall certainly go through the elements and start with the koutvideo. Many thanks again and happy christmas to you all.
