How do I create a custom text box?

Get help using Construct 2

So i have this green hud, and i'd like to have a custom text box like in the image below. Or at the least, be able to change the color of the plain text box.

I've tried using the small box as a sprite/background and then reducing the opacity of the text box, but that doesn't do the trick.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think that a plugin can do this, try this: https://www.scirra.com/forum/plugin-advanced-textbox_t82223

Tell me if worked

Hi, you can use Addon text box plugin (plugin-textbox-addon_t68004) or create a text box styled with CSS code. This tutorial show you how to insert css code : https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/1283/c ... -textboxes
To call the file don't use a text object, use this plugin : plugin-css-import_t78007

You can use this CSS generator for your code : http://enjoycss.com/

Thanks for the replies.

I've decided to try and go another route. Seeing all the posts about how there are problems with the wrappers and how they handle plugins, sometimes becoming buggy, i want to keep the plugin count as low as possible.

Thank you again.
