How do I create a gif/video from inside a C2 app?

Get help using Construct 2

Hey friends,

I was just wondering if there is any possibility, to generate an animated gif or a video file from inside C2.
For example. I create a little physics engine that simulates some behaviours. Can I grab that screen and export it as a videofile or gif?

Thanks again awsome community :) Looking forward to your thoughts.

You probably need a javascript warlock to do that. There's this JS library to generate a gif, so I guess one could wrap it in a plugin, and use it in C2.

You could use this mod of the canvas plugin that allows you to make gifs:
plugin-span-class-posthilit-canvas-span_p753339?#p753339
I haven't tried it myself , and I don't know if it modified the latest version of the canvas plugin.
