How do I create a glass break effect?

Get help using Construct 2

I'd like to make the screen shatter for a second and then have all the pieces fall down off screen - any ideas on the best way to go about this?

EDIT: Let me clarify that I just want to make glass above everything shatter, not all the objects and stuff. Just a glass mask shatter, if that makes sense.

Create a glass shatter sprite animation and play it?

I would use a sprite that is large enough to cover entire layout.

Start with a blank animation and then have lines for cracks radiating out from the center in a few frames and then have those solid pieces falling down in the next frames until it is done.

Probably could do it in 20 frames or less.

I will work on a sprite and see how it looks.

Here you go using a sprite.

Capx is available on that link. Uses 13 simple animations and you can make your own more detailed.

Might want to make the glass slightly hazy for effect and very light blue or gray would work. Adds more depth when the screen clears to what is under neath I think.
