How do I create an inverse relationship?

I have a global variable controlling some of my core mechanics, and I need to reference it to an action which pushes an object in the game, but I want the relationship to be inverse, so the global variable decreases as the object is pushed faster.

You can add a value then multiply it by -1.

Set variable to self+object.speed*-1
