How do I create moving spikes

Hi there,

For the development of my new project, Koloro, I am currently designing spikes which are supposed to go inside the floor/wall. In order to create an interesting level design, I created two version of this object, which are inverted (when one is going out of the wall, the other gets inside). The problem is that I would like to get a two seconds moment during which both kind of spikes would be inside the wall (or out). I tried for hours, using the wait/wait for signal events, but I haven't been able to obtain what I wanted. I am posting hereunder screenshots from the event sheet, if you can give me any solution I'd be most thankful!!
