Hello,

I've created a simple pattern for my background but I don't know how to cut it for using it in construct 2.

Here is the pattern :

But I want like that :

And after one hour I still can't cut it correctly. Any tips for doing that ?

Have you tried changing the angle of that object?

Click on that object - in the right pane you'll see ANGLE. It looks like it's turned about 20 degrees.

20 is clockwise.
-20 is counterclockwise.

No, it's a transparent bg and I add it on the background but the grid will move with the player. So I need to cut my background (in photoshop) to use it in construct. But everytime I try to cut it we can see where it repeat.

One thing i've learned (at least for me, maybe i'm doing it wrong) If i want a 64x64 sq tiled BG , I make the image 65x65 and paste it onto a 64x64, in my editor. Not rich enough for photoshop yet. Seems C2 likes to add a pixel of padding around the image, even after you crop it in C2.

Or if you have the 64x64 tile, try and stretch it out 1px on all sides.

It's just trial and error.

This is more a photoshop question than a construct question. Check out

For your particular pattern, you will want to rotate and try adjusting the size of the canvas before offsetting to check that it tiles. You can use guides to make sure the lines line up horizontally and vertically where they exit the edge of the image.
Mistakes were made.
