How do I do lipsync?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Jun 03, 2014 7:43 pm

What is the best way to do lipsync the Construct 2? Once I saw a flash system that used phonemes to show different frames. Is it possible to do this in Construct 2? Thanks.

this is more of an animation question not C2
- you'll probably have to time it to lipsync animation most likely manually for each frame

Complete waste of time. I suggest you use 8 or 10 mouth frames and relate them to vowels used in each word. Sort of like how you would see South Park characters talk.

Hi @Tekniko: What do you mean by: use 8 or 10 mouth frames "and relate them to vowels" used in each word?

It would be great if there was a plugin that did this: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/artic ... mouth.html

Depends how complex you want to get ; you could have a JSON file for each speech pattern which indicates when to open and close the mouth, it would probably be good enough unless you are doing SALT or something.
My tutorial through development blog is at http://myconstruct2dev.blogspot.co.uk/
