How do I Find out what kills my FPS

Get help using Construct 2

Hi , i have made simple platformer with 3 levels. First two levels have solid 46 Fps on my tablet. But the third one has 20 and less. And i dont know why. How do i find out what exactly is killing my frame rate? thank you

Well, obviously it's what's different between the first two and the last one - is it Shaders, more objects, more complex events, wrong events (like something firing every tick) something else? You can use the debug mode to check your object counts and cpu usage to try and find the culprit.

Ok fixed. I had 37 torches in the level, each 24 frames per second. I set the torches to stop playing while not on the screen. And set them invisible. Does invisible object improve performance?

That is quite weird - a plain animated sprite shouldn't bring your fps down - especially if it is off screen.

Would you mind placing a separate one in a capx and sharing it to see what it's like then? Is it still slow without any events? If so, could you share that capx? For science :)

Sorry for late reply. Problem is solved. I had wrong project settings. Linear rendering, all to high quality. and such basic mistakes
