How do I Fix This? (8-Direction Movement Bug)

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing great!

I encountered an issue while making an 8-direction Character with Set Angle: No.
I am not sure how to fix this at all.

Note: UL-DR-UR-DL=UpLeft,DownRight,UpRight,DownLeft

When I run the game and I press A+W the character runs the animation WalkLeft which is okay, but if I do not let go the W and I press D immediately, it remains with the animation WalkLeft when it should be WalkRight. This also happens the other way around.

Any clue on how to fix this issue?

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Hey Nahuos,

If you keep in mind that events run from top to bottom we can take advantage and keep things much simpler. Here is an example:

Hey GenkiGenga,

Thanks for the response I really appreciate it. I had something very similar to what you sent me.

The problem is that every time I tried to move with W and A at the same time, the animation that showed was either Up, Down, Left, or Right, but it only showed 1 frame. This made the character look like it was floating.

If you use the Sprite of the archive you sent me. Add a second frame for each: Left Animation, Right, Down, and Up. You will be able to see exactly what I mean.

Any clue?

@GenkiGenga

I need help again! D:
How do I make it so I also have UpLeft,UpRight,DownLeft,DownRight Idle and Walk animations? I'm not sure how to fix that.
I came to the conclusion that the character will look better with those animations :) any idea?
This would mean I would have 8 Idle animations and 8 Walk animations in total instead of repeating the Up and the Down idle and walk animations.
Does this make sense?
Thanks in advance :)

Hey Nahuos,

https://db.tt/yQ9CBOeV Here you go. I don't have a lot of spare time today so I have just done UpLeft for you. Let me know if you have any troubles applying the same technique to the other directions.
