How do I implement IAP with amazon?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Mar 31, 2015 4:33 am

I'm currently using the IAP object, and I've verified the SKU lines up with what I have entered on amazon, I have created the object but I know I am missing a step, and the amazon testing service tells me it failed on this regard. I have on start of layout, add the product ID and then request store listing. To purchase I have on touch an object purchase product.

Some more resources to look at are https://developer.amazon.com/public/apis/earn/in-app-purchasing and the SDK, but I haven't figured out how to implement those in construct 2 or whether I need to.

Looking to draw upon the experience of the C2 community, has anyone been able to figure this out? Thanks!

@Ashley

I dont own a Amazon device and am only counting on the Amazon App Test feature. Will C2 IAP work with Amazon app store if I follow all teh steps I did for Google, like setting up the items,
calling Add Product,
Request Store listing
Tracking various IAP features like Purchase, Consume, Restore?

Since I use lot of Consumables within my game, I interested to know Consumables will work.

The IAP plugin has a backend for Amazon IAP. It doesn't support consumables though.

What is their margin? Most places are like 10-30%. We are trying to find a payment portal below 10% preferably, something like CCnow which is at 4.9% and 0.40c per purchase, or one of these?

Most of these sites provide a HTTP API to use, but it looks like Amazon's IAP is a straight Java API, so you would have to roll that in with a servlet of some sort.
