How do I increase the number of obstacles within a level?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sat Jun 07, 2014 11:38 am

I'm working on a flappy bird type game simply for practice. (The world doesn't need yet another one i know!) I've got most of it worked out, but I can't figure out how to INCREASE the number of columns over time so they get closer and closer - increasing the difficulty level.
I'm sure it's really straightforward - but I've just started out with Construct2 and it's beyond me right now. Any help much appreciated! Thanks.

how you set up the columns currently, isit place all inside the layout already?

If you are randomly put column within some specific distance when the game is running then this should not be a problem for you.

Hi LastManStanding.

Yes, the columns are inside the layout. Over time, as in the original game, I want the columns to appear more and more frequently and closer together.

I know this will be achieved with a global variable, which I can then modify in the event sheet. But just not sure how to do this. I've tried searching dozens of tutorials - but so far no joy.
