How do I keep a timer running when on unfocus

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Apr 30, 2015 4:41 pm

Hi all,

I have set the global project properties to not pause on unfocus, however, when I open a new tab in the browser window (part of the game to search a website for clues), the game timer stops until the window is focused again.

I know this is the way JS timers work outside of Construct, just wondering if there is a way around this?

Thanks

in the Properties I think the default is to set your game to Paused when unfocused. it;s a dropdown menu option..

Hi jobel, this option has been set, but doesn't appear to make a difference to the timer

the Browser object might have some options.. other than that maybe there's a plug-in someone wrote to do it...
