How do I keep player in viewport

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:43 pm

Hi there,

I've been digging around and I can't seem to get anything I've found to work as far as having the camera move with the player.
I can get the screen to scroll but it sort of goes faster +independent of player object though I've been doing everything according to all the guides [but everything I've found seems way outdated].

Does anyone have a definitive/currently working way to get the view to move tightly with the player object, maybe allow for a little bit of room before moving the screen?

The game I'm currently working on is a top-down space ship game so scrolling in all directions is the end goal.

Like, is it just me or does this tutorial not work for the current version of Construct 2?

Using it, my viewport moves faster and not locked-on to the player sprite.

So I guess this is more about how to bind player to the viewport/changed title.

The viewport moves faster than the target object using this.
