How do I letterbox in iframe?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Jul 29, 2014 7:00 am

Hi.

Construct's fullscreen in browser/letterboxing works great when I'm testing my game.
But to upload it to my (wordpress) site, I have to embed it in an iframe. iframes have fixed height x width parameters; so no scaling.

Is there another way?

(I'm trying the various wordpress plugins for 'responsive' iframes- but nothing yet. They all seem to be designed for holding videos, maybe that's why.)

Ah... to my shame and horror; I think the answer is in the manual. Testing now. Sorry.

If you set the allowfullscreen attribute on the iframe tag, the game inside it can use the 'request fullscreen' action and break out of its iframe in to full display mode.

Hi all.
This still isn't working for me.

<center>
<iframe height="680" width="940" src="http://www.cleclic.com/wp-content/uploads/Weblynth/index.html" allowfullscreen></iframe></center>

If I omit the height width parameters, game plays as a tiny size in the middle of the screen. With them included, the game is playable but not scalling to fit screen.

Can someone provide an example?

ah- I see. I need to instruct the .capx to request full screen. I'll try again in a few days.
