How do I Make a Burning Rope

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 9:34 am

Hello! I'd like to make a burning rope.

If a fireball hit a certain part of the rope, I'd like the rope to burn to each end from the point the fireball hit.
I could simply make an animation for this, but you'd never know where the fireball would hit, making it extremely difficult.

Anyone know how to achieve this?

Basically, two fire sprites would appear where the fireball hit, and then move towards each end of the rope, making the part of the rope it went over disappear.

Thanks in advance! :ugeek:

Partition your rope into lots of little pieces and destroy those pieces from each end in.
