How do I make a connecting match-3?

I'm experimenting with a connecting match-3 game similar to Paint Monsters, Yummy Gummy or Fruit Splash Mania.

Here's some features that I've implemented:
  • Matching system
  • Selector
  • Gravity (thanks to @alextro)

And some features that I'm not implement yet:
  • Connection stroke
  • Block re-spawn

As the title said, how do I implement the features that I'm not implemented yet? :)

You can modify some events to meet your needs. Just in case, I will create another demo file to showcase how filling empty space works.

Indeed I did that in my working capx which is inspired from Doraemon Gadget Rescue.

Still working on the sample, move onto spawning system. So wait untill I finished the capx and I'll share the capx.
(Struggle on finding the most efficient way to build entire system)

Please re-download again the link, not much change just forgot to include a variable as condition at event 13. There were a chance in previous version that after user connecting blocks then make tapping fast repeatedly, the blocks won't fall. Now it fixed
