How do I make a volume slider?

Get help using Construct 2

So I'm making a game and I think it would be very helpful if it had a slider that could adjust the master volume. How would I make that?

well there's a slider object, but you could also create your own from sprites.

what does your game use for input? keyboard? mouse? gamepad? touch?

I'm using the keyboard and mouse. I already know how one can be made with sprites, but I want one you can use to fine adjust the volume.

@korbaach just curious why you use tickcount = 1 opposed to just putting that in On Start of Layout?

I did the first one, but there is one problem. I applied to my project (a menu when pressed ESC) and when I press ESC to return to game instead of closing menu the slidebar is highlighted. Any idea of why this happens?
