How do I make an enemy ai shoot player and make fog of war

So, I want to make a enemy AI for my platformer, and want the green goblin (enemy) to shoot when spiderman (player) comes in range. But I dont want him to shoot through the walls though, so shoot him when he "sees" him, basically a fog of war.

Edit: also, i want the green goblin to patrol a given area, how do I do that?

Any help is helpful, thanks :D

Ok for the enemy ai
The most construct can do is pathfinding
So do your research on that and apply it..
For the visibilty of spider
Implement a line of sight into your game
And make it that if wall is left or right that line of sight is disabled
You might need to do more research on line of sight . i havent actually used line of sight yet
