How do I make glow horizontal & vertical in photoshop?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Apr 21, 2017 5:03 am

Hi,
I want to use the glow horizontal & vertical from construct 2 effect, but kind of worried about the performance (if i glow on all sprite).
So i want to make the glow from photoshop, how can i achieve the same effect?

Tried blurring the sprite & set it to overlay, still seems different from construct 2 glow horizontal & vertical

Just print-screen your sprites or use the snippet tool for windows and remove the background

So it's impossible to do it in photoshop?

There are a million different ways to do it in photoshop. Try asking on a photoshop/graphic design forum.
Mistakes were made.

There is definitely a glow effect in Photoshop, but it might not give you the result you are looking for, you can still experiment though

You should get help from the pixel artist from pixelation.org or pixeljoint.com. I'm not sure how I would replicate that "glow" on PS, I would just paint the effect in.

edit: This might also help you get an effect you're looking for.
