How do I make isometric characters fight?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Mar 22, 2015 11:53 am

I am really struggling with this. I am making an isometric game but I cant make my player character attack the enemy using only one button for combat. I have it set out using 4 different keys for the 4 animations but surely there is a better way of doing this. Any help would be appreciated. I am a total beginner so be gentle haha. I wanted to upload my capx and screenshots to show exactly what I mean but for some reason it won't let me :(

Odds are you can't upload as you are too new to the site.

As for the animations, is it that you need 4 different keys for each of the directions ? I can do you up a quick CAPX, if not, can you explain more ?

I'm not a great animator, but this should convey what you could do. I've just done one, which is Space, but if you make more awesome animations like mine, and assign them each a key, it should do what you want in a fairly basic and easy to follow way :)
