How do I Make my character get knocked back

Get help using Construct 2

Hello,
Do you guys remember the Sonic games? When you get hit, Sonic would be knocked away on the opposite direction of the enemy. It is possible to make something similar on Construct 2?

Try something like on collision set vector x to 600.

I wish there were a built in function in construct 2 to do this since almost everyone does this in their platform games and people ask how to do it all the time.

I am a newbie at this :( sorry.
Is there any example of how to use this? a capx file or something?

EDIT: I manage to do de effect using the vector x/y behavior.. its working out.
Hope scirra implements de built in function. Thank you both for the answers.
