How do I make path finding follow a grid?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Nov 19, 2015 7:48 am

I'm using the built-in path finding to make an object go from point A to B. My problem is even though I have Diagonals disabled on the path finding, the object never actually moves at 90 degree angles. How do I make it conform to 0, 90, 180 etc degree angles?

I should probably reword my question. I want something like pacman AI where they follow you but can only move in 4 directions.

I believe you should create a scenario with a limited path where the object will go, with places for each new direction to move the object to have a new target, and when the object reaches the target stop and wait for a new direction for move.
