How do I open a .backup1 / .autosave file?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Jun 25, 2015 12:20 pm

Hello guys. I was making a game for Windows Phone, and this morning Construct (2, got on Steam) didn't save the file, but I still have the .backup1 and .autosave files. If it's possible, how can I open a .backup1 / .autosave file in Construct 2? Thank you for reading.

Hello my Friend, have you ever tried to open this with construct 2? or just dragging and dropping it?

Also explained in the Manual.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.

@YTP andmore You can try to rename the file, for example mygame.capx.backup1 to : mygame.capx and try to open it ... this .backup1 is just a way to Construct 2 to make a backup without substituting the original file.

It will work!

It worked! Thanks to everybody! It didn't work at the first time, because it changed only the name, not the extension, like it always happened, but then I retried and it worked! Thanks!
