How do I pausing an event and replaying it after a set time

Hey i need help with a game im programing. So the door spawns every 1.25 seconds to make an open/closing effect. but when a switch is activated, the door is suppose to destroy for ten seconds and then continue respawning for 1.25 seconds. Can anyone help me with my events? ive been testing the group active action but it has been doing the opposite. when the switch is activated, a door is made and stays there.

Seems pretty straightforward, you are telling the program to destroy a door and wait 2 seconds and create one..
So if you switch the group of the spawning will still occur if the wait is already in progress (which it always is ofcourse, because every 1.25 seconds you tell it to wait 2 seconds)..
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..
