How do I pull in large amounts of text?

Just started using Construct 2? Post your questions here

Hello All,

I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I'd like to build a simple text based game using
Construct 2. I'd like the finished game to run on multiple platforms, including iPad, assuming I ever finish the game. ;)

Can someone tell (or show) me how to store and retrieve the game's storyline text, which will be displayed as either a single line, or a single paragraph at a time? (JSON, XML???)

I don't want the old text to ever disappear, I just want it moved either above or below the new text so you can go back and read it again at anytime throughout the game or level.

Thanks for your help.

Could be an array loaded from a JSON string at the start of the game...

Thank you for your replies. I was hoping someone would provide an example. That would be much more helpful as I'm new to Construct 2.
