For those new users who honestly wish to build reputation points.

Visit the Scirra website for 30 consecutive days 100 (works multiple times - ps this just takes a 2 second logon each day)

You should be able to get 300+ rep just by having a look at looking at the forum to learn the very basics of C2, with just 1 comment in the introductory thread. Each multiple 10 & 30 days visiting earns extra reps (25 & 100), which brings you close to 500 rep without getting into forum posting.

Note for spammers: Don't bother. Nobody wishes to buy watches which don't work, or kitchens made of chipboard, plus links from this forum don't get a Google-Yahoo link rating.

Read manual 25 points
Read 20 manual entries 25 points
Read 50 manual entries 50 points
Read 100 manual entries 100 points

That is 200 points total, and it doesn't take more than couple of hours even if you really read the entries and not just click through. And you can learn a lot while doing it. My mistake as a beginner was to read manual without being logged in.

gna, generally like the idea of reputation.
but it's really bad if you post a job offer and can't reply the PM without 500 points. :-/

I gotta agree with @rtom, there's some things that seem like they need tweaking.

In my instance I was able to create a new tutorial which covered fixing issues and expanding on things from an older tutorial that no longer worked. The content was to long to post as a comment in the original, hence creating a whole new one. I got it all written and posted and then went back to the original to add a link to my new one in the comments, only to have the link removed since I didn't have 500 rep. Seems like if I can't post links in comments I shouldn't be able to post whole tutorials, and vice-versa.
