How do I Round Out Pixel Art?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 11:34 pm

Hey everybody, I just made a sprite using graphics gale and imported it into Construct 2 but you can still see the rough edges. How do I make my pixel art look more smooth? Do I have to shade or something? :?:

Turn on point sampling, and set pixel rounding in the properties bar...
As long as I can move left, right and fire, I'm Happy...

click the name of your project top right, and it should be on the bottom left of the properties menu...

That didn't work...Is it because my image has a white background?

I've had the same issue, when I import a PNG with transparency into C2, the transparent pixels show up as white. I solve this by opening my sprite in C2's image editor, use the fill tool and set your color's alpha to 0. Use the fill tool on all your bits that are supposed to be transparent. It's a bit time-consuming and a pain in the butt if you have lots of sprites to fix, but it works.

That's why I avoid using Graphics gale.
Paint.NET works perfectly with C2
