How do I run my game on Safari

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Mar 18, 2014 6:03 am

I am having problems running my game on Safari. It gets stuck on Construct 2 loading screen. It was running fine on Safari before i added some sounds and fonts. What could be the problem ? I really need some help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. - It runs fine on all other browsers.

Thanks.

This could be everything. Some steps that will help you:
Install developpers tools for safari, Press F12 before you load the game. Any errors?
Try to remove the objects you added before step by step. Maybe you can find the object which causes the error and then analyse what's wrong with it.

Hi,
Thanks for quick response. I looked into the developer tools and what I found out is that if I enable WebGL in safari the game starts working. What does that suggest ?

Normally I don't use safari, but maybe this will help you: http://onvert.com/guides/enable-webgl-safari/

I was able to solve it issue by reducing my asset size. I was using two large background image 2000 * 1000 as background assets, reduced them to half the size and the game is running now.

Now I'm facing another issue is that the game does not run some sounds on safari but I can hear those sounds fine on other browsers.
