How do I scroll the texture on tiled backgrounds?

As in offsetting the sprite's texture and have it wrap around itself? I want to do an infinitely scrolling background effect with stars and stuff. I suppose I could move the entire sprite object but that seems like a massive hassle. Couldn't see anything in the manual on how to do it. Maybe it can't be done?

You've probably already seen the way it's done in the auto-runner example shipped with Construct2, which would be the wisest way to do it..

In the effects part of this forum there is a webgl-effect that does exactly what you are asking for, but I doubt using that will increase performance compared to the above..

Out of the box, it can't be done. In Construct Classic, it was called "offset", but canvas 2d has issues with it.

Mm okay. I guess I can move it the way it's done in auto-runner.

Thanks for the help :)
