How do I seamlessly change a scrolling background.

Get help using Construct 2

been battleling with this for some time, simple background are scrolling infinitely from right to left, i wanted to change the scenery without the player noticing it.

have tried to setup this but i have only got a drastic background change.

You could put an object on the foreground to cover the background seam/transition point. Create an instance of the other background you want to switch to, plug it in where the next instance of your current infinite scrolling background would go, and then spawn an object that blocks the view of the transition (Trees, Mountains, etc...)

solved it but now i have 3 scrolling BG dont know how much it hurts performance

Whenever you change BG's destroy the other ones that are no longer being used. Just remember the spot they should spawn at if you need to create new ones.

thx 4 your help @BluePhaze

this is the capx, any suggestions on improving it? less events maybe?

if not, if someone else needs this, i leave the capx, tiled backgrounds and layouts can change size and still work witout having to change code since its all relative to layout dimensions and dimensions of the background tiles.
