How do I select different abilities?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Aug 23, 2015 12:47 pm

Hi!

Im making a game where i need to be able to select 5 moves/powerups from a group of say... 30.. i know what moves i want, but i cant figure out how i would make it to when they touch a move it goes into slot 1, then disappears. Then when they touch another move it goes into slot 2, then disappears. So on and so forth.

Any Ideas?

Im kinda new to construct 2 so could you please leave a detailed answer or an example?

Thanks Ahead!

Here is example. 3 slots and 8 power ups.

There is only one power up sprite with 9 animation frames. Each animation frame number (except 0) is used as power up number (1 to 8), and selected numbers are stored in an array.

But what about using the actual powerup?

Use "Contains value" condition for the array to check if the array contains powerup number.

Ok Sorry for the delay in response. Thanks for all of the help. i cant seem to figure out how to expand the number of powerups you can choose. all i could find was on line 4 last condition "If ActiveSlot is less than or equal to 3" i changed the 3 to five, and that let me select 5, but the extra 2 are black ( or animation frame 0)

Thanks Again
