How do I set a bounding box bigger than the image

Get help using Construct 2

Is it possible to set a bounding box bigger than the image itself? When i edit a bounding box for a frame, its size is restricted to that frame image size.

If is not possible, could i add a bigger transparent margin to an image in the Construct 2 image editor?

Hmm, I'm not sure, I'm guessing not. Instead, you could make an additional invisible sprite pinned to your real image and make the invisible sprite slightly bigger with bigger bounding box.

you can resize your sprite in construct edit image - click the double arrow icon and make sure you change image-stretch to image align centre, enter new larger size...
