How do I set a HighScore using TotalDistance and webstorage?

Hello everyone!

I have made a game where u fly along and u have to avoid objects.
The "score" is calculated in TotalDistance.

Whenever the player hits an object or hits the floor, the game goes back to the start.

I would like to have the "Score" and "Highscore" there,and i was wondering how to calculate that and wich variables/codes i need to implent.

You might want to check my tutorial Asteroid clone in less than 100 events which proposes a score system and a check for "high score".

I hope it helps.
