How do I set websocket server

Hi Folks,
I am designing a multiplayer game which uses sockets...I read about the socket.io and had gone through examples....I am using r178 which has websocket plugin....But I am not getting exactly the procedure of setting websocket server....Which programming language I should use for it's setup?......Where I should set it up? ...Please tell me the procedure for the same.....

SocketIO is not compatible with C2's WebSocket plugin, unfortunately. Either you have to use a 3rd party plugin, or use a different Node.js library such as SockJS which I created a test project of a while back and it works perfectly.

This is my recommendation. There really aren't man WebSocket Node.js resources that have many recent update commits, or are even minutely usable by beginners. But I do like SockJS.

Hi Thanks for your reply.....But I am very new to this networking technology.....So would you please tell me the step-by-step procedure of setting the server and connecting it to construct code?....
