How do I simulate Platform Behavior Jump On touch

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Aug 23, 2016 11:37 am

I have my player sprite set up to where it moves via arrow controls on the keyboard and it works as designed. I have added touch gesture to an up arrow which does some same thing as the up arrow. The touch gesture fires, but the platform behavior does nothing. I've been told that I need to add a "Player Platform Behavior simulate Jump" to my tap up arrow event. Where do I do that at? Below is my capx and the Player options available to me. Thanks.

Condition:

Touch -> On Touched Object [Your Arrow Button]

Action:

[Your Player Sprite] -> Platform -> Simulate Control -> [Select Jump]

You can also check this template project that comes with Construct 2: "Template: Platformer"

Construct 2 -> New Project -> Template Platformer

Let me know if this helps! :-)
