Sony's latest controllers (PS4) work perfectly well with C2 - please note that before the PS4 it was highly unlikely to use Sony controllers to game on PC, the 360 was well ingrained it was practically industry standard.

First of all set up an event that uses the Has gamepads condition to check that your controller is recognised - for example make a sprite appear on screen, this will confirm whether or not the gamepad works with the engine.

Once we have an answer for that we can move on.

You're going to slap yourself when I tell you the answer, I actually use a PS3 (Dualshock 3) gamepad to test my game's gamepad controls:

Just get DS3 and set the settings to "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator".

Playstation controls can't natively or normally be used on PC, they have to be used in a program which emulates a Windows 360 controller (Xbox 360 controller basically).

For PS3 controllers, you have DS3. For PS4 controllers, you have DS4.

WELL , in case you don't know, the MOTIONINJOY don't exist anymore, DRIVERS for ps3 pads, are terribles wrong, NOT WORKING at all under windows 64bits, the only thing you can get is:

ERROR:Call Class Installer fail.. Error code:0X-1ffffdd8

Ho, don't try to use a xbox360 drivers for testing if your ps3 pad is going to work, no, that don't work also.
Well i tried, ds3, motioninjoy etc nothing nothing work.

I can send you the motioninjoy DS3 I'm using. They work perfectly for me and I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

You just installed it wrong, I've been using it for around 4 years on more than 50 different games, 6 emulators and my own games so it's either really not working or you're screwing up a simple installation.

Don't get all ragey.
