well in the construct 2 manual i found this about controlers...

"The Playstation 3 controller does not typically work without installing third party drivers since it is not officially supported. For this reason it is recommended to test with Google Chrome on Windows with an XBox 360 controller, and always support an alternative input method such as Keyboard input."

@imothep85

In all honesty, it's your fault for buying a third-party non-PC controller that's neither built for PC, nor an official PS3 controller.
You can't expect Ashley or us to fix something that's not built for the hardware you're trying it use it on, let alone programs on said hardware.

The controller you posted a pic of is a cheap copy of a PS3 gamepad, doesn't really matter if it's new or not. I once bought a Chinese PC controller based on the PS2 controller and several buttons didn't work, thankfully I got refunded.

Just PM'ed you the DS3 I use. If you're not able to use it then you have a bad controller, since I have two Dualshock 3 controllers (both are different models from each other) and they work perfectly with it.

In any case, if your purpose for using a controller is to use it on a PC, buy an official PC controller from a legitimate source.
Third-party cookie-cutter items can only damage your computer and cause you headaches.

Let me know if the DS3 I sent you works. If not try to get a refund on your controller.

Like i said before.............. MOTIOINJOY don't exist anymore, their software DON'T WORK because it only WORK ONLINE (and the online mode is no more), the OFFLINE MODE is completly DEAD !!!
Also, motioninjoy.com, motioninjoy.fr dont exist.
Motioninjoy a chinese company has a fake adress in china (inexistant), the guy behind this use allways the same "[email protected]" i contacted BIGBEN interactive who sell those cheap products in france and belgium....... because i found hundreds of people on the web with exactly the same problems with this hardware.

But yes you are right, next time i keep my money and i buy an official joypad............never never never never buy cheap products........AND FROM CHINA !!!!!!

Also, BIGBEN Interactive is almost dead, with a bad financial review /preview for the year 2015, they are almost dead..............

This isn't anything to do with Construct 2. It just uses the browser-provided Gamepad API, which is generic and should work with any kind of controller though. However your controller needs to:
- be recognised by the OS
- have drivers installed so the OS knows how to communicate with the gamepad
- report the gamepad to other apps like browsers
- and the browser may possibly only recognise certain models of controllers, since it has to know in advance how to map its buttons and axes on to the standardised Gamepad API.

We have no control over any of those steps, so there's not much we can do if a specific gamepad doesn't work. Also IIRC even the official PS gamepads don't have official Windows drivers, so they don't want to officially support Windows gaming. You can get third party drivers, but then there's not much guarantee it will actually work correctly. And then if you're using an unofficial controller just pretending to be a PS gamepad... well, no surprises if it doesn't work.

The wired Xbox 360 controller is the one we recommend because it's a common controller that is known to just work on most platforms - even Android! I think the Xbox One controller is gaining support too, but I haven't tested one lately.

No,Imothep you don't have to buy a new Xbox 360 controller as Nester is said you can use a ds3 tool.

It doesn't have to be motion joy, there is a much better tool called "better ds3".

I used it,it's simple to configure,it's simple to use,but the only problem I can't solve is how to use it wirelessly.

Just search on YouTube on how to configure better ds3 tool. :)

No idea what you're on about. I'm still using DS3 and it's working fine.

Company might be bankrupt but the software itself is definitely working. No reason a software would stop working just because the company which developed it has become liquidated. This isn't the Phantom Menace.
